How do I download and install HungryYet?

To download and install HungryYet:

  1. Open the App Store on your iOS device.
  2. Search for "HungryYet" in the search bar.
  3. Tap "Get" or the download icon next to the HungryYet app.
  4. Wait for the app to download and install on your device.
  5. Once installed, tap on the HungryYet icon to open the app.

HungryYet requires iOS 15.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone and iPad.

What are the system requirements?

To use HungryYet, you'll need:

  • An iOS device (iPhone or iPad) running iOS 15.0 or later
  • At least 100MB of free storage space
  • An active internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular data)
  • Location services enabled for check-in features
  • Camera access for meal photo capture

How do I create an account?

To create a new HungryYet account:

  1. Open the HungryYet app.
  2. On the welcome screen, tap "Sign Up".
  3. Enter your email address and create a secure password.
  4. Fill in your profile information (name, username, profile picture).
  5. Review and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  6. Tap "Create Account" to complete the registration process.

You'll receive a verification email to confirm your account. Follow the instructions in the email to verify your account and start using HungryYet.

Account Management

How do I reset my password?

If you forgot your password, follow these steps to reset it:

  1. On the login screen, tap "Forgot Password?"
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  3. Tap "Send Reset Link".
  4. Check your email for a password reset link.
  5. Follow the link to create a new password.
  6. Use your new password to log in to the app.

If you don't receive the reset email within a few minutes, check your spam folder or try requesting another reset link.

How do I edit my profile?

To edit your profile information:

  1. Log in to your HungryYet account.
  2. Tap on the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap the "Edit Profile" button.
  4. Update your name, username, bio, or profile picture as needed.
  5. Tap "Save" to confirm your changes.

You can change your profile picture by tapping on your current picture and selecting a new one from your photo library or taking a new photo with your camera.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, you can delete your HungryYet account at any time:

  1. Go to your Profile tab.
  2. Tap on the Settings icon (gear icon) in the top right corner.
  3. Scroll down and tap "Account".
  4. Select "Delete Account" at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Review the information about account deletion.
  6. Enter your password to confirm.
  7. Tap "Delete My Account" to permanently delete your account.

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data, including posts, comments, and profile information, will be permanently removed from our servers.

Features & Functionality

How do I create a meal post?

To create a new meal post:

  1. Tap the "+" button in the bottom center of the screen.
  2. Take a photo of your meal or select one from your photo library.
  3. Add a caption describing your meal.
  4. Tap "Add Location" to tag the restaurant or place where you're eating.
  5. Optionally, add more details like dish name, rating, or price range.
  6. Tap "Post" to share your meal with others.

You can also add hashtags to your caption to make your post more discoverable by others with similar interests.

How does the map feature work?

The map feature allows you to discover meal posts from other users based on location:

  1. Tap on the Map tab in the bottom navigation bar.
  2. The map will show your current location and nearby meal posts.
  3. Pinch to zoom in or out on the map.
  4. Tap on a pin to see a preview of that meal post.
  5. Tap on the preview to view the full post.

You can also search for specific locations using the search bar at the top of the map screen. This allows you to explore meal posts from restaurants or areas you're interested in visiting.

How do I comment on posts?

To comment on a meal post:

  1. Find the post you want to comment on.
  2. Scroll down to the comments section.
  3. Tap on the "Add a comment" field.
  4. Type your comment.
  5. Tap "Post" to publish your comment.

You can also reply to other users' comments by tapping the "Reply" button on their comment. This creates a threaded conversation, making it easier to follow discussions about specific aspects of a meal.

Troubleshooting

The app crashes when I try to open it

If HungryYet crashes when you try to open it, try these solutions:

  1. Close all background apps and try opening HungryYet again.
  2. Restart your device and try opening the app again.
  3. Check if your iOS is up to date (Settings > General > Software Update).
  4. Check if there's an update available for HungryYet in the App Store.
  5. Delete and reinstall the app (your account data will remain safe).

If the problem persists, please contact our support team at support@strengcon.com with details about your device model and iOS version.

Location services aren't working

If location services aren't working properly in HungryYet:

  1. Check if location services are enabled for HungryYet:
    • Go to your device's Settings.
    • Tap Privacy > Location Services.
    • Make sure Location Services is turned on.
    • Find HungryYet in the list and set it to "While Using the App" or "Always".
  2. Make sure your device has an active internet connection.
  3. Try restarting the app or your device.
  4. If you're indoors or in an area with poor GPS signal, try moving to an area with better reception.

Note that location accuracy can vary depending on your environment, surroundings, and device capabilities.

I can't upload photos

If you're having trouble uploading photos to HungryYet:

  1. Check your internet connection. Photo uploads require a stable connection.
  2. Make sure you've granted HungryYet permission to access your photos:
    • Go to Settings > Privacy > Photos.
    • Find HungryYet and select "All Photos" or "Selected Photos".
  3. Check if your device has enough storage space.
  4. Try reducing the photo size or using a different photo.
  5. Close the app completely and reopen it.
